The following are our simple tips on how to look after your table.
Ceramic Table
To care for your ceramic table start by wiping it down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent after each use to remove spills and debris.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners and use coasters to prevent scratches.
Stubborn stains should be treated immediately.
Oak or Walnut Table
If the wood has been painted, e.g. Navy or White, a wipe with a clean damp cloth will easily remove any dust or dirt.
On natural untreated or lacquered oak or walnut, applying a wax-based polish with a clean soft cloth will help to create a protective barrier and enhance its appearance.
Bare Metal Legs
Using a soft cloth and mild soapy water, wipe the legs down to remove dirt and grime.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners to prevent scratches.
After cleaning, dry the legs thoroughly with a clean cloth to prevent any moisture from building up.
Check the legs regularly for any scratches or signs of rust.
If found, touch up with matching paint to maintain appearance, and treat signs of rust with a rust remover.
You can also apply a protective wax or sealant annually to make the legs durable and prevent rust.
Powder-coated Metal Legs
Use a soft cloth or micro-fibre towel with warm, soapy water to wipe away dust and spills.
Avoid abrasive cleaners and materials that can scratch the surface.
After cleaning, dry the legs thoroughly to prevent moisture build-up.
Check regularly for scratches or chips in the coating and touch-up when needed to maintain appearance.
